THE 2017 MEDICAL COSTS & DEBT SURVEY
Over the last several years, Wall Street and other financial institutions have created enormous wealth by driving up the cost of health care and implementing aggressive debt collection policies. NJ Communities United believes that hospitals and healthcare institutions should be in the business of health care, not debt collection.
To confront the growing crisis of health care costs and medical debt, we are working with community partners and local labor unions to launch a united effort to push back against the corporate health care system and the resulting – often devastating - consequences that face working families.
As part of this effort, we want to better understand how residents across New Jersey manage health care costs and medical debt. We have launched a brief survey you can take to help us learn more about healthcare related coverage, and the consequences of ever-increasing health care costs on families. Understanding your experience will allow us – and our partners - to develop solutions that will protect working families from the growing crisis of medical debt.
Your participation in this survey will remain anonymous. If you would like to learn more about our Medical Debt Campaign, you will have an opportunity to leave you information with us at the end of the survey.
If you're ready, then let's begin the survey!
