Justice for Workers

New Jersey’s low-wage workers and their families are struggling to make ends meet more than ever before.  As Wall Street profits grow to record highs, working and middle-class families are suffering from unemployment, under-employment, poverty wages and a lack of affordable health care.  With a staggering 9.6% unemployment rate,  the current administration continues to push regressive policies that hurt low wage workers, vetoing both a raise in the minimum wage and a millionaire’s tax.

New Jersey Communities United believes that people who work for a living deserve to earn enough to provide basic needs for their families. We support a worker’s right to join a union and, a living wage, affordable health care for all and dignity & respect in the workplace.
